While people everywhere were paying attention to these and other headlines, virtually no one noticed the work of a small group of committed Christians along Oregon’s south coast. For well over a year, these men and women had been praying, working and raising money to start a 24-hour a day Christian radio station in the Bay Area. To the rest of the world, it was “no big deal” but to the body of Christ in Southwestern Oregon the spiritual landscape was about to change.

With the flip of a switch, on November 18th, 1978, the broadcast airwaves, long dominated by secular programming, carried the message of “hope” to coastal residents for the very first time. By God’s grace and His faithful provision, K-LIGHT has continued this mission for 32 years.

Helping others find Hope!

Now more than ever, we need a constant reminder of where our hope lies. While important, our hope doesn’t hinge on the outcome of the election nor does our hope rise and fall with the NYSE. No, our hope is in the eternal promise of the One who said…“never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” Heb 13:5 NIV.

As you know, K-LIGHT serves a unique purpose here in Southwestern Oregon. Perhaps best summed up by Chris, who said: “I appreciate K-LIGHT more than you know. The music helps me worship the Lord on my way to work and the teaching programs help build depth to my understanding on the way home. Thank you so much and God Bless!”

It is SHARE-A-THON time here at K-LIGHT. This is the only time of the year when we ask our listeners for support. Please consider making a financial pledge to K-LIGHT.

Our goal this year is $125,000. This increase is needed to offset a shortfall in overall revenue to the station. As with many ministries, this has been a financially challenging year for us at K-LIGHT. We have trimmed expenses in virtually every category and seek the Lord continually for His guidance regarding wise stewardship.
